Tonight is a pretty rad opening party at San Francisco’s The LAB for the Division Of Labor Festival 2013. The Festival opens up with the “Temporary Services” exhibition, which is looking refreshingly eclectic and unique, and SF/LA industrial psychedelic freak-scene ers BAD NEWS (Chondritic Sound) are opening up the festivities with a FREE performance tonight, as well as a cast of other activities and performers. We hosted BAD NEWS a few months back at LCM in Oakland, and they did NOT let us down. GET THERE. Free shows don’t exist like T H I S . Support these efforts………Here’s the info below from the Lab’s website……

Artist collective Temporary Services presents “Temporary Services: 15 Years of Printed Paper”, a gallery exhibition of their literary works. Temporary Services are renowned for their ethic of urgent and unlimited collaboration, especially with people who never before participated in an art project, resulting in projects like Prisoner’s Inventions and Group Work. Founders, Brett Bloom, Salem Collo-Julin and Marc Fischer, are based in Philadelphia, Copenhagen, and Chicago. They have existed since 1998, producing exhibitions, events, projects, and publications where the distinction between art practice and other creative human endeavors is rendered irrelevant.
Bad News is the duo of Sarah Bernat (16 Bitch Pile Up, Work, Limosine) and Alex Lukas (Copy Lake). They operate in the heavy industrial and noise zones, with an awareness of vivisect-era Skinny Puppy, incorporating guitar, synthesizers and drum machines writhing like mercury under sharp female vocals.
